TweetDeck One Year Anniversary: The Journey...

TweetDeck is one year old today and I wanted to mark this occasion by going back to where this journey officially began - Louis Gray's blog. Louis was the first blogger to write about TweetDeck and his post caused a surge of interest and marked the turning point from closed private beta to open public beta. Over the course of the day Louis and I have been exchanging emails discussing what has happened over the year and where we go from here. I've tried them all. Twitter gadgets, add-ons en standalones. Only TweetDeck does the job as is should. I remember the day Adobe launched AIR. Never thought this TD became the pinnacle of evolution. In this 21st century Twitter connects people (all over the world) 2 major events, like #iranelection & #MJ. And TweetDeck makes it possible 2 sort everything. Tweetdeck bridges chats, blogs en opinions to an truly people's world. So THANK YOU.

PLEASE make the pop to the front on new tweets optional, I have to shut down tweetdeck during the day at work. It comes to the front of excel sheets, and tweet in the middle of formula isn't fun. Some days I just want to read when I have a moment not have it pop in my face.

Congratulations! I have been dying to try tweedeck for weeks; sure looks like exactly what's needed and wanted -- but I can't download! Always get an error message sayin the "installer is misconfigured." What's up with this? Is it just me?
