Getting to know you

We’re friends, right? And friends should know a little about each other, right? Well we’re not sure we’re keeping up our side of the deal here so we’d like to take some time to get to know you better. And by getting to know you more we can make TD even better.

We’ve put together a survey which should take 5-10 minutes of your time to help us learn more about how you use TweetDeck, what you love, what you’d like to see changed and who you are.

We really appreciate your help with this and you can find the survey here. We promise to be better friends in future. Scout’s honour.

I'm enjoying TweetDeck @ home/work. I'm a student that enjoys spending time w/friends & family & Twitter has allowed a little more of that. It's been fun using Twitter/TweetDeck.

There's no comparison to Tweetdeck - it changed how I use Twitter entirely, turning it from a quirky web-based messenger into a functional method of creating friends, acquaintances and like-minded colleagues.

What up? This is really something new that I like and I would love for more people to come in contact with it.

A few things I missed on the survey: I'd like the "mark as read" button to be bigger on each tweet to make it harder to miss, the ability to re-mark it as unread and also an option to make a tweet marked as read if you've clicked on a link within it would be very good. Great app though :)

Done! I still using TweetDeck so far, it's hard to change of app when i get used to one but DestroyTwitter seems very nice, appearance makes huge differences!

The tweet deck is easier to maneuver around twitter than the main twitter page. I like my main twitter color page, but I prefer the productivity capability of the tweet deck. I just wish I understood what some of the features are for. Trial and error have helped me a lot.

Done, Please improve Arabic displaying in TD.
Thanks for for keeping TD up.

I think you should rethink the use of advertising-- I think you can potentially change the way it looks and how it pokes its often ugly head into our lives--we can have a tweet deck column for ads that all look the same--like tweets --and sell them on a reserved time basis--monitoring for monopoly on peak periods and scaling the price for peak times--making them all look alike will be good for advertising-- no one advertiser can have the same time period in any given week or on any particular day like every monday--I am giving you this for free-- cause you asked--I want a month of free ads when I get my new piece ready : - ) Make the company that develops and manages my plan pay you so you can pay me-- you asked right?? The tweet deck is a great tool as I said before--you all simply must keep it real--learn more about the policy you need in place before you launch tools and be quick to respond to what you did not foresee-- LOL if you wish--but I wish you well--boys-- I know what we invisioned back in the 80s and you may not-- you have stumbled upon some of it--BMM

Couldn't complete survey, kept telling me questions were compulsory, on functions I don't use/had checked 0 on. One thing I would like to see (on the Facebook side) is a "Don't reload seen" the same as Tweet's (so you only get new updates, & can clear them the same as Tweet's), as is when you clear FB they all come back on next update.

I love tweetdeck! I still have friends who won't transition over to facebook, would be great to see Myspace status updates too :) TweetDeck makes Twitter so much easier to use! It's the first thing I open every day :)

Really good survey. Love TweetDeck, so easy to use and get organized. Cool if you could integrate twitter search results. My only "request" :)

Tried to take the survey, but the search questions are mandatory and I don't use the search feature in Tweetdeck. Therefore I could not complete the survey.

Completed, though if I may ask, apart from the multiple account, iPhone and other popular requests. Could we have more informative alerts and possible a mega alert, perhaps taken from one group which displays a big alert (I know, when at home I'm often away from the PC but can see the screen - I'm lazy and don't want to have to walk to the computer ever 5 minutes - the iPhone comes in handy then but has some obvious restrictions). It's your survey that made me think of that mad idea!

You ask questions that have "no" answers like "Do you use Twitter on your phone?", etc., but you still have mandatory questions linked to them in the way in which you use them, even though you don't.

Kind of sloppy and stupid.

Please fix the bug that causes TD to crash every 5 minutes. I stopped using TD just last night because of that and would love to come back to TD if it was a more stable program. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem with TD that SpiritSea describes. Constantly crashing. This problem has only begun in the last few days.

Tweetdeck, I love you! But we need one thing - the ability to export a group so you can import it onto another computer. I have macs at home and work, and my home mac has the most awesome group I've created. I could not possibly manually recreate this group at work. Group export and import!

Hi: I tried to take your survey. I had not yet gotten Tweetdeck so many questions did not apply to me, yet I was forced to answer. I backed out rather than give false information. Just thought you should know you may be getting false information from people who have not yet used it. Larry

I took the survey, but was a bit bummed out to find that there wasn't a space for me to make the one and only request that I feel is ABSOLUTELY necessary to make Tweetdeck the unparalleled Twitter client: multi-account support. Once you address that issue, I personally feel that you will do much to squash the Tweetdeck/Seesmic Desktop debate that seems to be raging.

Keep killin' it guys, and please, let us know your plans for multi-account support.

Thanks,
Greg

You're falling behind guys. Others are listening and innovating in functionality and interface. Tweetdeck feels as though it's standing still even with the recent updates.

Why why WHY is it so hard to put the unread count BACK? WHY?!

Bobart said...
Seriously, I need unread counts back already. What a stupid idea it was to take them out.

And there should be an option on whether to open twitpic (etc) links in TweetDeck or in the browser.. I'd much rather they were in my browser.
